Blackwell Burke Named Minnesota Firm of the Year for the Fourth Consecutive Year

Blackwell Burke P.A. has been named Benchmark Litigation’s Minnesota Firm of the Year for the fourth consecutive year. The Firm became a four-time winner at Benchmark Litigation’s ninth annual US awards dinner honoring the country’s “most distinguished litigators and their firms” in New York in late February. Few firms in the country have won the State Firm of the Year award four consecutive times, and Blackwell Burke is the only certified minority-owned firm to receive this honor in recent memory.

Blackwell Burke’s 2020 Firm of the Year award sits among the others at Benchmark Litigation’s awards ceremony in New York.

“We’re honored to be named Minnesota’s top litigation firm by Benchmark Litigation for 2020. Blackwell Burke is the only African-American owned law firm of our size that does this type of high stakes litigation work,” said attorney, Spiwe L. Jefferson, who attended the awards dinner and accepted the award. “To receive this award four years in a row showcases our commitment to our clients and the complexity of the high-stakes cases we handle on their behalf. Clients choose us for our excellence and outstanding results as well as our commitment to diversity. We stand shoulder to shoulder with only a small handful of law firms that have been recognized by Benchmark Litigation for four years in a row. We’re proud of this honor and will continue to deliver top-notch solutions for our clients.”

As the definitive guide to the world’s leading litigation firms and lawyers, Benchmark Litigation bases their Firm of the Year rankings on case evidence, peer reviews, and in-house client feedback. Blackwell Burke was selected from a short list of highly recommended firms in Minnesota, which included Bowman and Brooke LLP, Ciresi Conlin LLP, Robins Kaplan LLP and Winthrop & Weinstine, P.A. Benchmark Litigation named Blackwell Burke a “Highly Recommended Firm” from 2014 through 2016 before the Firm was recognized as Minnesota Firm of the Year from 2017 to 2020.

Winning Firm of the Year four years in a row affirms our commitment to our clients and we’re proud of this honor from Benchmark Litigation.”
