Alyssa L. Rebensdorf

Alyssa L. Rebensdorf practices in the areas of product liability, tort and commercial litigation, with a focus on food industry defense.  She has represented Blackwell Burke’s food industry clients in state and federal courts around the nation, in matters ranging from defense of food adulteration and food borne illness claims to assessment of issues arising from product recall.  Her broader experience as a product liability litigator has given her the opportunity to represent a wide range of companies, from internationally-recognized makers of food, drug and cosmetic products to major manufacturers of fluid handling systems, HVAC equipment and industrial machinery.  Her insight into federal court practice, developed during a two-year judicial clerkship with the Hon. David S. Doty of the U.S. District Court of Minnesota, provides added value to Blackwell Burke’s extensive work as National Counsel for companies and closely-held businesses that require representation in multiple jurisdictions.

Ms. Rebensdorf obtained her legal degree with honors from Duke University School of Law, and obtained her B.A. Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.  She is admitted to practice in Minnesota, as well as before the U.S. District Court of Minnesota and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.  Ms. Rebensdorf was named a 2006, 2008 and 2009 “Rising Star” by Minnesota Law & Politics, a recognition based on attorney polling across Minnesota.  Ms. Rebensdorf speaks French.
