Mark Simmons focuses his national practice on all aspects of trial and litigation, including product liability, premises liability, and class action litigation.
Prior to joining Blackwell Burke P.A., Mr. Simmons began his career serving as an Assistant Public Defender in Charlotte, North Carolina, where he tried numerous misdemeanor appeals and high-level felony cases in front of juries before moving into private practice. There, Mr. Simmons continued his representation of criminal defendants while also managing trials and litigation in personal injury actions in the areas of workers’ compensation, social security disability, medical malpractice, and catastrophic injury. Most recently, Mr. Simmons joined a preeminent Atlanta-based medical malpractice firm and defended medical professionals, nursing homes, and hospital systems in malpractice and premises liability cases.
Mr. Simmons has tried hundreds of cases across the Southeast including bench and jury trials. He brings a wealth of experience at all levels of negotiation and trial and thrives on the privilege of defending his clients when it matters most.
When he’s not in the courtroom, Mr. Simmons enjoys time with his family, playing ping pong, supporting his local art community, and collecting Swiss, German, and vintage watches.
