Blackwell Burke P.A. Provides “Absolute Best” In Client Service

Blackwell Burke P.A. has been recognized as providing the “absolute best” in client service among among attorneys representing Fortune 1000 companies in the 2010 BTI Consulting Group’s Client Service Survey. The BTI Client Service All-Stars list annually recognizes attorneys who, according to Fortune 1000 companies, drive superior client service.

The BTI Consulting Group is the leading provider of strategic market research to law firms and is also the market leader in research about law firms. The BTI Client Service All-Star Team for Law Firms 2010 draws on candid responses from corporate counsel at the world’s largest organizations. General Counsel and their direct reports are asked to delineate, unprompted, the attorneys who provide superior client service. Those client interviews, according to BTI, “determine precisely which attorneys top the charts in client service excellence” throughout the country. Corporate counsel assess their outside firms in a variety of different categories, including legal skills, outstanding results, exceptional understanding of client’s business, and value-added service. The leading attorneys are deemed BTI Client Service All-Stars. In the entire United States, only approximately 3 lawyers per state received this recognition, and it is based exclusively on unprompted client assessment. No firm can nominate an attorney or submit client names. This year, clients recognized fewer law firms for exceptional client service than a year ago.

“We are honored to have representation from our 13-lawyer law firm among the nation’s largest firms,” says firm chairman Jerry Blackwell, referring to a BTI honorees group overwhelmingly comprised of the nation’s 100 largest law firms.  “We feel we tailor-to-fit as well as any firm in the country, and it is good that our Fortune 500 clients think so. We have represented Fortune 500s nationwide for many years, as national and trial counsel, and to have our “client-first” focus recognized in a recession year is especially rewarding. It is harder for everyone to adapt in these times, and maintaining excellent client service is not at all immune to market forces.  We have continued our approach of not viewing ourselves as outside counsel, but rather, as extensions of the client’s business needs and in-house counsel.  We thank our clients for this recognition.”

Blackwell Burke, a 13-attorney firm based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, serves as national trial and litigation counsel for several Fortune 500 companies.  The firm has an extensive products liability defense, commercial litigation, toxic torts, food safety, labor & employment and class action practice and has represented corporate clients in practically every jurisdiction in the country, as well as several foreign countries.
